Great Ideas 2023 is just days away! Here is some important information as you begin your final preparations to head to Austin. There is a lot of information for reference in this e-mail, so keep it handy as you prepare, pack and travel.

TCASE is offering a conference app to enhance your convention experience and bring you the latest conference information and updates.

 

To download the app, search for TCASE Conventions in the App Store or Google Play Market.

 

Once you download the app or access it online, click on Great Ideas 2023 and follow the steps below to log on.

1. Enter your email address. This is the email address you entered when registering for Great Ideas 2023;

2. If you are new to the app, create a password by clicking the Forgot Password link;

3. Once you've created and entered your password, please enter the Event Passcode greatideas23. This code is case-sensitive.

 

In the app, you can:

• Access the latest convention information;

• Download session handouts;

• Interact with other attendees;

• View the interactive exhibitor floor plan;

• Post photos; and more.

Remember to Download Your Handouts

Please remember that session handouts are only available online and will not be distributed on site. If you would like hard copies of the handouts at the convention, please take the time now to print the handouts of those sessions you plan to attend.

 

Handouts are also located on the app.

 

Handout materials are the property of TCASE and/or the speakers, and should not be shared with those not registered for the conference under any circumstances without expressed written consent from TCASE.

Additional Great Ideas 2023 Information

Attending Has Its Rewards: In addition to all the learning, ideas, and networking, you will earn continuing education units during the convention. Everyone will receive credit for attended sessions, and certificates will be e-mailed after the conference.

 

Internet Access: TCASE is pleased to announce that wireless internet access will be available for convention attendees in the meeting space. You will receive the access code when you pick up your convention registration materials at the JW Marriott Austin hotel.

 

Have You Renewed Your TCASE Membership?

To verify your membership status, log into your profile here. You will be notified when you log in if you haven't renewed your membership. All paid Administrator, Associate and Auxiliary members will also receive the TCASE logo on their name badge to indicate their active member status. Memberships are active when payment is received.

TCASE Payment Policy Reminder: Please note that convention registrations must be paid in full prior to the event. If payment has not been made prior to the convention, please bring any outstanding balance to the on-site registration counter when you arrive.

Note: A purchase order does not constitute payment, it is simply a promise to pay.

 

Business Casual Attire: The recommended attire for the convention is business casual. Remember, temperature in the meeting rooms is difficult to control and can fluctuate, so we recommend dressing in layers for your comfort. Casual dress is the recommended attire for most evening events and receptions.

Parking Information: Below are the parking rates for the JW Marriott and overflow hotels.

• JW Marriott: Self Parking: $41 + tax; Valet Parking: $56 + tax

• Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown: Overnight Parking: $52 + tax

• Courtyard Austin Downtown/Convention Center: Overnight Parking: $52 + tax

• Hyatt Place Downtown: Overnight Parking: $52 + tax

*If you are exempt from paying sales tax on parking, please bring your copy of the sales tax exemption form and present it upon check in.

 

If you are driving in for the day, TCASE recommends parking at the Convention Center Parking Garage that is located on Brazos Street between Cesar Chavez and 2nd Street.

 

General Host Hotel Information: Check-in time at the JW Marriott is 4 pm, check-out time is 11 am. Early check in and late check-out will be granted based on availability. Cancellations after 6 pm on the date of arrival will be charged one night room and tax. Any reservation with a "no show" will be charged one night room and tax and the reservation will be cancelled. At check in, the front desk agent will verify your check-out date. Rates quoted are based on check in date and length of stay. Should you choose to depart early, an early departure fee may be charged.

 

All overnight TCASE guests at the JW Marriott will receive complimentary guest room wireless internet. You should receive a letter from the front desk at check in, if you do not please be sure to ask for one. The letter has instructions on how to connect, along with the username and password for this service. This password works for guest rooms only.

 

Hotel Occupancy Tax Exemption: If applicable, please remember to bring a current copy of your exemption form with you. This form will need to be presented to the front desk agent when you check in. The hotel will not have copies on site.

 

Badge Pickup/On-Site Registration: If you are checking into the hotel Sunday, we encourage you to come by the registration desk on the 2nd floor of the JW Marriott Austin, between 2 and 8 pm, to pick up your name badge and materials in advance of the rush. Check in will also be available on Monday morning starting at 7:30 am.

 

IMPORTANT: You are required to wear your name badge to all sessions. If you are not wearing your badge, you will be asked to return to the registration desk for a replacement.

If you know someone who has not registered and they would like to attend, they can register until Friday, Feb. 3 by clicking here. After Friday, on-site registrations are welcome.

 

We look forward to welcoming you to Great Ideas 2023. The TCASE office will be closed Monday, Feb. 6 through Wednesday, Feb. 8 for various meetings and the convention. If something of an urgent nature comes up during that time and you need to reach us, please send an email to info@tcase.org.

 

Transfers: If for any reason you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another person. To transfer your registration, please send an email with details of the transfer to info@tcase.org.

 

Photo Release: TCASE staff will take pictures during the event. Please note that participation in TCASE conventions constitutes an agreement by the participant to TCASE's use and distribution (now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's images or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audio tapes of such events and activities. Unless you inform TCASE that you object, permission is assumed.
